Chris Malden
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist | LMFT #158642

Reaching out about addiction or a pattern you can't seem to stop takes real courage. Many people wait years, feeling ashamed or convinced they should handle it alone. Chris offers a space without judgment, where you can be honest about what's really going on and start building something different.
Chris specializes in addiction, codependency, and self-esteem. He works with substance use, including alcohol and drugs, as well as gambling, porn use, and chronic relapse. He also works with anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, infidelity, divorce, and family conflict. He sees individuals and couples and has a particular focus on men's issues.
Colleagues describe his approach as no-nonsense and deeply caring. He draws on CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and solution-focused therapy for practical change, and on attachment-based, psychodynamic, and Gestalt approaches to understand the deeper why behind a pattern. Together, you'll identify what's driving the problem, build healthy coping strategies, and set goals you can actually reach.
Chris earned his Master's in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles and is a member of CAMFT.
