Associate Marriage & Family Therapist | AMFT #151173

Dana Orozco

Most of us picture our lives heading in a clear direction, and then a relationship breaks down, a family starts pulling apart, or a loss changes everything. Dana meets people at those unexpected turns and helps them find solid footing again. She sees how much courage it takes to ask for help, and she treats that courage as something to build on.

Dana's focus is relationships: couples working through conflict, infidelity, or separation; partners preparing for marriage; and families navigating tension between generations. She also works with individuals and children on anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem, codependency, school and peer struggles, and major life changes. She also supports parents and women navigating the pressures that are often placed on them.

As a first-generation Latina, Dana knows firsthand how acculturation, family expectations, and intergenerational patterns can shape a person's life, sometimes in ways that are hard to put into words. Clients from bicultural and immigrant families often find they don't have to explain as much with her. She offers therapy in both English and Spanish.

Her work is rooted in evidence-based practice, with additional specialized training in attachment-based therapy. That approach looks at how our earliest bonds shape the way we love, argue, and connect today. Her goal is to help clients understand themselves more deeply and leave with practical tools that make the road ahead feel more manageable.

Dana earned her Master's in Counseling Psychology from California Lutheran University and is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT).
