Devon Mcwhorter
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist | LMFT #151969

A lot of people put off therapy because they think they need to know exactly what's wrong first. Devon doesn't see it that way. Therapy with him is a place to show up as you are, figure things out together, and move forward at a pace that feels manageable.
Devon works with teens, young adults, and adults into their 30s. He helps with anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, communication struggles, addiction, codependency, and the negative core beliefs, like "I'm not enough" or "I always mess things up," that quietly shape how people see themselves. He also helps with the life transitions that tend to cluster in these years.
His approach combines Solution-Focused Therapy, CBT, and mindfulness. Together, you'll pinpoint what's getting in the way of your goals, gain insight into why, and build coping skills and strategies you can keep using long after sessions end. He believes change happens when clients feel respected, understood, and actively involved, so the work is always a partnership.
Devon is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT).
